...then check out the video's I just put on the http://viper.epikos.com web site. Look under the Video section and the "Drag Race" category.

I convinced my wife to join me yesterday at the drag races. She took the Durango and I took the Viper. We had a heck of a fun day and our kids loved it even more!

We live on an island near Vancouver and there is no drag strip here so our little drag association rents the local airport twice a year. It's terrible for hooking up but easy on half shafts!

Even though my 60 ft times were terrible (almost 2 1/2 seconds) I still managed an 8.1 second 1/8th miles. Not too bad I guess. I was hoping for 7.5's but maybe I get there next time at a "real" track! The airport runway isn't long enough to allow a full quarter mile plus braking time so they time the usual points up to the 1/8th and then somewhere after the 1/8th and calculate 1/4 mile times. I did just a hair over 12 sec. Not great I guess but not too bad. Hey the Durango did 10.5 sec 1/8th with my wife driving and as you see in the video did alright!

Special thanks to Tom Welch of BTRViper for the drag video and the nitrous (which I didn't use on this track but still have a lot of fun with!) and to Jon B of Partsrack for the new HorsePower increasing exhaust and other tips.

PS. My last name is pronounced with a "t" at the end...so that's why everyone was joking about the fact that the announcer was pronouncing it differently each time.

Thanks Wayne, I had a lucky day...I lost by break out on the run just before the trophies (I took fourth in Super Street). Never lost to any other cars though! Fun day!
