How can I get my profile to show me as an owner and not an enthusiast. I would also like an avatar. Can you help?

I was hoping to avoid having to buy a new scanner....but my most recent attempts to revive my current one proved too much for me. Alas...I will now have to stop by the NEX on my way home from work tomorrow and get a new one. I know...I move like old people....... Sorry!
