It's going to sell for less than HALF of what I have in it!

You lowered the reserve to $1 above the highest bid and that guy wouldn't go a dollar higher. Am I missing something here?

The way eBay works is that you can lower the bid to a dollar above the current highest bid - no more. And those that have been around eBay know that a LOT of bidders are "tire kickers" with no real intent to buy the car. My guess is that the highest bidder either didn't know that the reserve was lowered (although I think they get an e-mail) or that they just chickened out. Interesting to see if it ends up sold off eBay from these posts. It is a heck of a deal!
