iPod Integration Kit Question

Looking for some help.


I just received the Mopar iPod Integration Kit. Part number 82209617AC.

I looked at the Owner's Manual and it list the following Radio Support:

Fully integrates with RAK, RAQ, REF, and REC radios. I don't see either RBQ which is the Viper Base Radio or RB1, the optional Nav-Radio.


I noticed another part number on another web-site, 82209616AC

Mopar iPod™ Integration Kit

and it says this one is compatible with:

• RBK 05091506AC/AD/AE/AF 05091556AF
• RBP 05094468AC
• RAH 05161262AA/AB 05094564AB/AC
• RBQ 05091507AE 05064038AA/AB
• RAZ 05064042AB/AC
• RB1 All RB1 Navigation radios
• RB4 The RB4 works but radio contols are limited. Does not come with operating instructions for the RB4.

Sounds like I have the wrong kit, can anyone confirm this?

You got the wrong one, the 17ac is for like the 300c radios, its a can-bus, you need the 16ac for the viper. I have installed both and they look identical.

The guy filling the order did not know there were two different kits. They actually have the 16AC in stock, so its on its way.
