is there a way to have a remote VEC2 ? ? ?

today cruising up to NY state, i wanted to blast past a few guys and really could have used the nitrous. But i wont use it unless i have the right program set for the VEC2.

there has to be a way to get it remotely in the drivers area.

anyone do this or know of a way ? ? ?

I know that visions of speed had done one. I think its either in randy's or mike car. I know I was next on the list to get one done. When I slap on my new rims and bigger throttle body and dough levin high hp kit I will try to get them to do it as well.

I had mine mounted in the back console. All you got to is cut and splice to add wire.

I Am confused Plum. You won't use the nitrous unless you have a program for the vec2? Why if I may ask? If your nitrous is tuned properly what is the problem? I don't have a vec1 or 2 and the first thing I do when I go for a drive is turn the juice on and I don't worry about a thing because I know my system is fine. I am just confused.

I have the same issue, but, if you think about it,the nitrous card is just a NA card with the additionaql timing pulled (oem timing used). There is not that huge a difference, in general I run with the nitrous card.

Two issues, some of us use the Vec to turn on the nitrous, secondly, if you have added timing, it is not a good idea on the bottle.

the card i have for nitrous also takes out a bunch of fuel since if ya remember my car was super rich on the juice. so i dont wanna take any chances till i get back up on the dyno to tune more.

i got a buddy who is scary smart with computers and electronics, im gonna see if he can help me do something with the vec2.

when i had mine hooked up i used the vec 2 nos card to turn on and off the juice at preselected rpms . This way it was super safe.

You have to have it turn on no earlier than 3500 rpms. Thats why i use the vec 2. wot can be at 1000 rpms but your crank will be on the floor.

yup, my vec2 controls BOTH the WOT and the window from 3K to 5K

but ONLY if BOTH of those are in effect. not one or the other...

mine inside the car where a VEC1 usually goes

ask Sean im sure he can modify yours and dont try to do it your self unless you know what you are doing.

one wrong wire can damage the VEC2 its so sensitive when it comes to wrong wiring. goodluck
