People always want to race you when you have a Viper.

They have nothing to lose. If (when) they lose, they can say, "well, it was a Viper" they lost too. But if they win, they will brag for life!

Well I do have to say, as much as I am looking forward to owning a Viper this is the one thing I am not looking forward to. I guess anything cool that is rare and different will attract A-holes and jealous morons.

It may not happen to you like some of the stories. My experience is I have very few try to race me or rev their engine at me. It may be that I'm driving a black RT/10, that may not scream "race me" as much as a striped GTS with a wing. Most of the people with the constant challenges seem to be driving the latter. In fact, I don't even get any abnormal police attention except in rare instances, which I attribute to the stealth color and a habit of actually signalling all lane changes and turns.

I don't necessarily agree. It's more the luck of the draw which idiot you bump into. My gts is red w/white stripes, no wing, and I do get the idiots, but never hassled by the cops... hats off to them because I rarely speed excessively.

So Plum, what would you do if you had a car like Chad's Bumble bee, Paolo's TT B/W GTS or SVS's TT rocket sled... all tuned up and set to go and then someone pulls next to you in a camero or even a ricer with a G/F in passanger seat... go easy? or dust em so hard they couldnt see the light of day LOL

Not that anyone asked me, but I think its fun to take off slow and actually let them hang with you for a couple gears...that way, they're ego is getting really big and their gf is soooo impressed b/c her bf's car can keep up with a Viper. Then, without warning, take the pedal to the floor, grab the next gear and show them what a true American V10 is all about. If you are really a showoff, you can always slow down and let them catch up just so you can smile and wave at them before you leave them for good. Its also good population control, b/c you can bet their gf wont be giving anything up for a long time after being embarrassed so bad

Good idea I've always wanted to see a clip of a "Chad like" car just completly Dust someone else with a decent car just because I think it would be a cool clip to see. I know Paolo is at work on his B/W GTS monster... look out for that thing
