Just Got back from Vegas

Haven't been there in 3 years.Stayed at the Excalibur.That's where the conference was that we attended.Not a hotel I would normaly choose.Somewhat worn and dirty.Enough said.The strip looks the same at night which of course is amazing.Looks dirtier and more worn out in the light.The Wynn(not as nice as Bellagio)now stands where there was a hole in the ground.There are various holes in the ground where something new will be born.The landscape around Vegas is as bleak looking and barren as ever.Sorry I'm not a fan of tan dirt.The weather was perfect!Upper 60's to mid 70's during the day and 40's at night.Saw the show "Ka" at MGM Grand and its not as good as Mystere.We had a good time at the show La Cage at the Rivera.It was a lot of fun.The MGM grand has been completely remodeled upscale.You do not walk through the lion anymore.It has been moved and downsized.Is not an entrance anymore.Something about asians not wanting to walk into or through the mouth of a Lion.*******.Don't waste your time.Shopping(for wives and GF's)Everything along the strip is at full retail or retail plus.Suggest a trip to the nearby outlet mall.EXPENSIVE.Get ready for a $5 large coffee and $30 breakfast for two.$6-7 for a beer.etc. GTS Bruce

wynn hotel is crap compared to bellaggio. was there for dinner a couple of weeks ago. its NOT what they say.

the place we ate (tableu) at was nice but not the hotel.

I like the MGM. Lots to do there.. Up scale nite clubs and lounges. Vegas nice place to visit BUT would not libe there tooooo much temptation.

WYNN is so overrated. I was there for the grand opening in April, most of the stuff was not even completed or finished. The rates were real cheap, due to first week I think. Trump is building a huge hotel accross from Wynn, wonder how that will do? Hope better than AC.
The Clubs at CEASARS are the sh@!!!1.. Going back in a couple months..

Now you know why the locals never visit the strip. We leave the strip to the tourists and visit the locals casino's. The locals's casino are friendiler and give you more value for your buck. Living in Las Vegas isn't for everyone, yes the dirt is Tan and barren but to me its beatuiful and yes it does get Hot in the summer but we love it. I lived in California for over 40 years and never knew my neighbors, one week in Vegas and I knew almost everyone in the gated community that I live in. Almost everyone in Vegas is from somewhere else I guess that's why there so much friendlier. If you have a gambling or drinking problem then Vegas isn't for you. The excetiment of the slot machines soon wears off as they are everywhere and I do mean everywhere including my game room. The strip is constantly re-inventing its self and is about to under go a major transformation again. The casino's are spending billions and should have it completed by 2008-2010. Hopefully I will be able to meet some of you at VOI and show you some of the beauty of Las Vegas, besides the strip.

i just go to vegas to party. 4 days of no sleep and being drunk or buzzed. *** all over the place. thats why i stay at the hard rock

Yeah the hard rock is a good choice for that. Alive all the time. Why do I know this especially since I have not been to Vegas yet?????? My younger brotheres beat me to Vegas. I am sad. Hopefully this year. Not sure if for VOI though.
