Well, all and all this run was great. All in all, about 40 cars showed for the hike. Jon nice of you to stop by, sorry you had to cut out. I can not explain the amount of fun this event was. Even though I got lost on the FIRST leg, it was still one of the best events I have been to over the years. Thanks LoBC. Well here are some pictures from the run:

Dude,

wow F40s are badass. did anyone do a little racing when the trooper left? I bet the F40 was the fastest car.

Great cars and yes it was a lot of fun. Now for the answers:

Yup, that was a Skyline. Pretty rare to see one so it counted.

The trooper was not a problem. Just saw all the cars in the lot and wanted to see them up close. Very nice guy. Many people on the run got close or topped out their vehicles. I of course did not get close seeing I am the "slow poke" but all in all it was good. A Ferrari 575 passed me at about 180 MPH and a Gallardo at about 200 MPH. It was sick!

I did some racing with an F40 a long time back. Mainly 80-140mph blasts. He claimed he had a hard time keeping up and was very impressed with my stock GTS. It was a real compliment since his car was worth over 4 times or more than mine.

I like the pic of the cars at the rest area best. Car wise, I think I'd take the platinum diablo in the 5th pic. I agree with OneDayI'llHaveOne, the new Murci's and Gallardos just dont grab my attention like the Diablos.

The merci is okay for me but the back does not grab my attention. I love the 6.0's but the ride in the Merci is just so much smoother and quicker. Plus it has F1 :2tu: .

What Happened? - F355
Simple. The classic happened. They had too good of a car and had to get rid of it and replace it with something cheaper and less stunning. That is not to say the cars ****, but the lack something the originals had. Same is true for many cars including, IMHO, although they are still beautiful, the SRT-10 Vipers.

Read the Sig.

You know what I miss in terms of Lambos besides the Diablo VT, The Diablo SV. :headbang:

Yeah, the Gallardo is quick and comfortable but I can not really stand the shape. I love the back but not the front. I wonder what a Merci front and an Gallardo back would look like? One can wonder.

As for the SV, great car although pretty rough ride. A local had one in red over here. So hard to see out of but then again that is a Lambo trademark.

What about the Murci? It runs circles around the Diablo.

Runs circles around a Diablo? In what sense? On the track? Yes it is better, on the street, straightline... no.

Keith, it was a pleasure meeting you out there! As for the Murci and Gallardo, they are both awesome cars. I love my Murci, but I also love my Diablo. And now, i must add a Gallardo. I have to say, at the event, other than the Lambos, the F40 and the Zonda, the hottest cars were the Vipers. You can keep all the other Fcars.

Welcome back Allan! It was a pleasure meeting you as well. I hope that Rehan gave you a nice tour in the Merci. Definitly the next time you are out here we should get drinks. To bad I did not learn until later.

Talk to you soon
