If you're looking to do something Viper related, our region has a dyno day on 3/4. Check out www.nevadavipers.com for more info or just shoot me a message.
It's near the Orleans casino. Should be a short ride from the strip. Where are you staying? Sorry I'm going to miss this event, I work in San Francisco and live in Henderson and commute but have to stay in SF this weekend because of work. Enjoy Vegas should be a nice weekend, GRRRRRRRRRRRR I hate work!
Steve,
Dave's not far off - have your cabbie go to the intersetion of Decatur and Flamingo. We're meeting at Garth's Viper shop (Leading Edge Performance) which is on University Ave. University Ave is the first stoplight south of the intersection of Flamingo and Decatur - take it east from Decatur. Garth's shop is down the street on the left hand (north) side of the road. The address is on the front of the building and the shop entry is in the back of the building. There's a link to a map to Leading Edge on our website's home page (www.nevadavipers.com).
Check out Ceasers Palace, they have a very nice auto dealership/museum in one of the stores located in the mall. Last time I was there in November they had a lime green lambo parked in front of the store. Yes, the store is inside the mall and they have about 30 cars (all exotics) in there. And entrance is free.
The Shelby assembly facility is not far from Vegas. My in-laws were that about two weeks ago. I don't have any contact info, but I'm sure if you look you'l find something. Call ahead, they have tours but only on certain days.
LasVegas motor speedway might be worth a look.
The Shelby place is in the same complex as the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, it's just at the far side near the highway. They have tours during the week, and they start at 10:30 or 11:00. It's well worth the short drive.
