Planning on a Paxton and want to go back to the stock gearing for a 2001 GTS. Surely somebody has a takeoff set (or a low mileage set) that's been collecting dust and don't need anymore.

Thanks,

I've got one out of my 96 GTS. maybe a 1000 miles. I won't need it for anything.

Why don't you try your gears with the paxton first then make the swap if you want so you can compare, I'm running 3:55 gears and SC and love it!!

I thought of that but I've driven a 99 with 3.45s and a Paxton and for me, I can get better 1/4 mile times with 3.07s plus I find 3.07s easier on a road course. Just my experience and it's probably a personal preference thing.

Good thinking.

I also took my 3:54s out and went back to 3:07 after adding Paxton. Car was a bit frantic (but fun) with 3:54s.

Much faster and easier to drive on a road course also with stock gears.

With 3:54s I was spinning tires going through the traps at the strip. (stock run flats)

Thanks for all the responses guys! I think I've got a deal worked out for the 3.07s. If not, I'll y'all know. I'll be sending the Unitrax speedo calibrator back to them to be tested. My speedo quit a few weeks ago, but I think it's a bad ground (they're very sensitive to grounding). If it checks out OK it will be available too.
