MGW Shifter install

Well, finally decided to install the new shifter ( MGW ). I was going to install myself but then realized I WAS to big to fit under the 5" of ground clearance. I was going to jack the car up , but needed 6' jacks !!. SO my friendly mechanic, Nick and Doug at Mannix Automotive in Naples, did the install. I realized after that I did not buy the short shaft !! I would like to keep the same " knob" if possible, any suggestions. Here are a few pic's . Great job Nick and Doug. Thanks

You can cut the shaft off and drill/thread the rest again at the height you want.

I have not done one but the medallion on top should come off and then unbolt the knob. Cut to desired height and then drill and tap hole for the bolt, then re assemble.
