I attended the Langley Mopar Club's Mopar's Unlimited Show yesterday. I put another 1,000mi. on my Viper over the weekend. I drove to Kamloops (180mi. extra) and attended the Grandaughter's 5th birthday party along the way, for a couple hours. Fattened her piggy bank. From Kamloops I took the 'famous' Coquihalla Pay Highway. No cops on Sat night. Lot's of bugs though. I washed my car before I left home, when I got to Williams Lake, and when I got to Langley.

Higher speeds mean bigger bug splashes, that's why I use a Mopar front bra.

I lost to a "better than new", sorry, I meant restored stock, 70 Plmouth Superbird, and an antique '33 *****'s Gasser (with a Roots blown Hemi). Both excellent machines.

Older cars get extra points and newer cars (73+) have to fit into a couple classes, none being year limited. My personal favourite class was the modified A body class (my 440 Duster fits into that class). Quite a few tunnelrammed 440 Darts, Dusters and Demons there.

About 400 Mopars were in attendence and it was considered a great charity show. This was the 17th annual for the club. They raised well over $1,000 with the 50/50 draw and the Viper jacket I bid on, in the silent auction, went for $100 (I missed it). The Fraser Valley Chrysler Dealerships donated quite a bit and made the show "worthy". For the size of the show there was a large ccollection of cash for various charities.

While I was there I bought a GTSR model (1:12 scale). Figured I'd spray it Deep Sapphire to match my GTS. $45.

Actually it's a remote controlled ELECTRIC CAR. My part to help keep the enviroment Green, lol.

No batteries so I'll have to get a couple battery sets so I can drive it.

This looked like a fun show to attend. No other Vipers at all?

No. When the announcer called me to the trophy tent (another participant was looking for some parts and advice on his Charger) he called out, "Would the Viper owner come to the trophy tent. There's only one Viper here, come on Teddy." Interestingly, I didn't know him. Lol.

This show is always different. First year I attended they spent 4 hours handing out doorprizes. Hundreds of hats, key fobs, die cast, etc. Boring. This year they SOLD tickets for the doorprizes. Last year they sold car pics. As you drove through the Michelin Ballon entrance they shot your car and pics were available at a tent later. Not this show. There was a silent auction this time. Lots of money went to Charity.

I got 3rd because this was mainly an OLD Mopar Muscle car show. Late model cars only fit into a few catagories (Daily Driver, FWD, Project car and Specialty Class) and no newer than 73 had a class. Specialty Class only included Vipers and I brought the only Viper. Fred Kappler (99 GTS) was there with his 435fwhp PT Cruiser as he belongs to the PT Club. Fred's waiting for his '99 Black/silver coupe.
