from what I have seen, I don't think just the 10lb pulley will give you 800 hp...maybe at the fly wheel...but not rear wheel. I think maybe low to mid 700 without any power adders...but I reserve the right to be wrong..just basing this off the people I know who have 10lb'ers

I know Tony is making impressive power with his roe set up.

Tony can cook a banquet with his set-up. less than 800rwhp (not by much), he runs water, ****, propane, and supercharger. There is probably some canola oil in there too somewhere.

to get to 800rwhp, you really need some head work. and since you'll have to take the heads off to get to the pistons anyway, send them out to Greg Good for a stage III port job. when they come back, they will flow 30-40% more air and that 10lb pulley will actually only be pushing 7lb anyway.

come to think of it, i don't know of anyone that has done a ROE with some serious headwork. Cudaman maybe... but he also runs NOS. And he also runs 9.x like Tony...

just bumping up the boost, though, (even if the car could handle it) won't get you to 800rwhp. with **** injection, it will help but even if you use the 30hp/psi rule of thumb (which it really isn't), then you add 150hp. to where you are now + **** inj to add 25-50, maybe... could happen, perhaps. not sure.

it's late... don't hold me to this. Except the part about the canola oil.

more than likely, yes. but keep in mind that 10lb isn't 10lb once heads are done. so you could, conceivably, go to an even smaller pulley (call Sean about pully sizing). since the heads flow more, there is less pressure which means that what was once 10lb is actually 6 or 7 or 8.

let's make up some #'s here to articulate this.

stock heads (let's say they flow 235 cfm @ .600 lift) + 5psi ROE = 550rwhp.

port heads but keep SC pulley the same = 3.5 or 5psi of boost, but 590 or 600rwhp !

port heads and bump boost back up a litle (use a 7lb pulley which will yield 5psi on this combo) and you might be at 630 or 650rwhp.

get the gist so far?

most boost does NOT [necessarily] = more power...

good luck!

thanks Ab and Joseph. very hepful so far. so heads and 10lbs would give me 700rwhp?

Most likely more...I would say in the 720-750 range. I know of some OH VCA guys that have that with a 10 psi pulley and **** system. The more you open up your heads the more flow you will get...plus if you see 10lbs of boost on open heads vs nonported heads...you will make a significant amount of power.

Add forged pistons and water/**** to the heads and 10lb. pulley and you're there. :usa:

My Roe has a 10# pulley, (Ross pistons), tuned by Macedo and I am pulling 626 hp rear wheels, 697 torque. Adding the **** injection has not seemed to add any seat of the pants feel but I am sure I am running safer. Stock heads, B&B etc. I don't think you will get to 800 RWHP by just adding heads to the package. I think that many cars may be run on optomistic dynos with some of the numbers I have seen (what do you think Sun Ra Kat)

STUGOTS: I have not talked to Larry or Sean about that. I would think that heads and cam would be more in order now sp that I can utilize all of that pressure.

Vipr GTS: with water **** you can up the boost to a 12 pully right?

Per Larry, you would need to upgrade the fuel system.

With a 10lb pulley, heads/cam, we upgraded my pump anyway for added security.

sometimes Kenney's licesnse plate changes with each tank of gas. I really don't know if Kenney has even been on a dyno, at least in the last couple of years.

Dimitrios,
From what I understand forged pistons and 10psi on your car would give you ~630wheel. With stock heads the increased boost will not give you as much as you would think as the heads turn into the bottleneck. If you add water injection and some good tuning to your 10psi you could hit 650. To hit 700 you would need some serious head work on top of that. IMHO low 700’s is about the limit on ROE blower alone without throwing the kitchen sink under the hood.

dimitrios is right on, I dyno'e 626 rwhp with that set up and 697 torque. adding 20 hp and 30 torque is all that should be expected, stock heads just don't flow enough to force it to 700 hp

Joesph .....I have some head work done to my Viper .....they are done by Jeff M. but it is not serious head work .....mild to medium .....but definitely not serious head work. It was a 9.71 @ 145mph

My question, has any one that has installed the ROE unit in the last 6 months with a 5 lb pully done a dyno on ther car, I know there were some problems with the first group of superchargers and The PCM programs were changed to correct the problems, I have looked at his web site and all he has for the GEN 2 cars are showing an 8lb pully. My car has Headers, HFC, Corsa exhaust, Tubes and K&n filters 355 gears. any one got any ideas, the best I can come up with is 530 hp & 600 TQ at the rear wheels

With my previous setup I had a 5lb roe, t&d rockers, hiflow cats, corsa, 70mm throttle bodies, airbox, etc.... I dynoed 581hp with 596tq mild tune in august over 100 degrees outside. I now have a custom paxton setup and am north of 1000hp :D

Call Sean and talk to him. He is the most accessible guy out there and will not give you anything but the truth regarding his systems. You can run a larger pulley with the cast pistons and the water/**** but check with Sean for the latest tuning. He is always testing to improve his packages. :2tu: :usa:
