Just bought my first Viper last month. Wow. What a machine. Can't believe it's sitting in my garage right now. I've washed/waxed/detailed three times since i got it. My wife thinks I'm obsessed! Friends all dig it. Had it out both days last weekend as we are having some Indian Summer weather here in Southern Ohio.

Being new to this forum, can someone tell me how I can put a pic on this site of my new ride? Also, I've bought a nice car cover, battery tender, etc one thing, my garage is a 4 car and with my wife and i pulling in and out all the time tends to get damp. bought a dehumidifier, is it okay to use in the garage to keep moisture out of the garage? thoughts? thx.

Lastly, wanted to thank Steve Fess for all his help as a new Viper owner! U da man Steve!

Hey Cincy area guys; I have access to a heated garage with lowrise lift at work. Garage has water and drain. I store my GTS there. Let me know if you need to lift your car or wash off salt and I'll meet you there. It's Erlanger KY, off exit 184, near CVG.

2kviper,
Welcome to the jungle!

Here's a tutorial on how to post images by Tony(Vipermad)

Here are some quick tips on how to use the Viper Club of America Image
Gallery. It is important to remember that you MUST be logged in to
the Gallery in order to upload images. Currently the username
database for the Gallery is not shared with that of the Discussion
Forums, so it might be necessary to register separately for the
Gallery. If this is the case, simply register for the Gallery with
the same info you use on the Forums (at some point we will be merging
the two databases and this will make it easier for all of us). Go
here:

http://www.viperclub.org/menus/index_media.htm

And either LOGIN, or REGISTER. Once you have done this you will see
up near the top right the option to UPLOAD PHOTOS. Click on that link
and follow the steps to upload your images into your personal folder,
or pick another area you want them displayed by choosing a CATEGORY.
Please note that the limit for each image is currently 200K.

Once the image is uploaded, view the image to make sure it was
uploaded OK. If it was relatively large you MIGHT see different
variations on the "Filesize" line, just above "Keywords" and
"Descriptions", listed UNDER the image. Ideally, you want to select
an image around 60K in size and 640x480 in dimension (for display on
the Forums).

For me, the easiest way to ensure I have the right image, I RIGHT
CLICK on the image and select "Properties". A box appears and it
tells you the file size as well as the dimensions. In that same box
it shows the "Address" (or URL). Highlight and copy that URL
by RIGHT clicking on the highlighted URL and selecting "Copy".

Now, all you have to do to post that image on the Forums is, while
composing your message, include the URL between the image tags, like
so:

<font class="small">Code:</font><hr /><pre>[image]http://vca2.viperclub.org/gallery/data/500/210DSC00167-med.jpg[/image]</pre><hr />

gives you:
210DSC00167-med.jpg

Now, preview your post to make sure the image appears. If you run
into ANY problems please let me know. I put this little "How To" note
together based on my experiences. If you have a problem, or find
there are steps missing or poorly explained, please let me know so I
can "fine tune" this message.....Thank you very much!

Are you able to right click images again?

Last time I tried in the image gallery it would not let me.

I had to manually type in "http://vca2viperclub.org/gallery/data...etc..etc"

No, I still can't right click on the images in the gallery section. Tony says that its a software issue that they're working on.

I bought a simple temp/humidity gage to check for sure.Optimal temp 60-70 deg at 50% humidity. You can go lower humidity but the hoses, leather, moldings need to be well dressed or will dry out.Of course your walls are insulated and sheet rocked?.Suggest painting or putting tile(vinyl) down on the floor like I did.Prevents moisture comming up.Its warm out tonight and the garage is 72F and 39% humidity.A lot of the fasteners on the vipe are cheaply plated?Rust and corode easily.Need to clean them up every once in a while, paint or oil up. Yeah, what Tony said. You should see what Tony and myself have done with our modded Vipers. Tony is finally faster than me...temporarily. :D

This will be the year that the southern Ohio Vipers will be doing a gettogether, so save up some bail money.
