My viper is here, but there is a small problem

Well my viper is finally here and it is great, but there is one small problem. There is a dent in the drivers side exhaust. How much it will cost to replace this part. I know it is only a cosmetic thing but I would like to have them looking like new. Other than that the car runs great and is in great shape.

I would guess about $300, but get a couple of estimates and know the reputation of the shops your dealing with!

I think a replacement is >$1500 whereas a good patch and paint is <$800.

Holy ****!!!! I own a body shop,,, anybody that's chargin' you 800 bucks to fix a dent on the **** covers is screwin' ya!!! Should be able to find a good shop for 500 max. Unless cali. prices are that outrageous!!!???

Are you talking about a Gen1 sidepipe car having sill damage or Gen2 rear pipe or sill damage?

If it is metal let a Fix-A-Dent guy look at it......no paint work if he can do it.

I don't think fix-a-dent will work. That is for thin sheetmetal these covers are alot thicker AL. I have a fix a dent kit (I rarly use, only good for door dings and hail damage. Any decent shop should be able to dolly the dent out (depending on how deep it is) probably put a skim coat of filler and paint for $200-$300.
