Are the 1998 engine specs different from the 2000-2002? Fuel, Compression, engine management (ECU)?

As far as I know there is no real difference between the engine specs besides the pistons being forged vs. cast and maybe a cam duration, but other than that fuel delivery, compression is the same right?

I need to get real advice on this please.

Thanks in advance.

Hmmm. Could this have anything to do with Paxton problems posted on the other threads?

Compression for all Gen 2's is 9.6:1 and Gen 1's were 9.1:1 per any documentation I have found. Only cam change was a decrease in overlap from 66 to 60 degrees for the creampuff years.
