Okay folks…this isn’t Viper related...but it is Mopar related, and I really need some help. I have a ’72 Plymouth Scamp with a 225 "Leaning Tower of Power" Slant Six. My Grandmother ordered it new, it is in really exceptional condition, and has tons of documentation. Here’s where I need help. The car needs a choke cup and gasket. It sits in the exhaust manifold, and it is leaking, making the car sound terrible. My local dealer ordered the parts from the Mopar Performance catalogue, but they don’t fit. In the description it says they should…but they surely don’t. The gasket and cup were disco’ed a few years ago by Chrysler, and Fel-Pro doesn’t list the gasket anymore either. Maybe a dealer has these in stock, or…? I would greatly appreciate any help, as the car is going to be restored. I’ll buy a bunch of ‘em if I can find ‘em!

Matt,
Other possibilities.
Have you tried Year One to see if they have one? There is also a guy, named Paul Slater as I recall, who parts out tons of Mopars and advertises in places like Hemmings all the time. Also, I have a friend who does the swap show deal and is into Mopars (just sold him my '68 GTX conv.). If you can send me a part # for the correct piece, I can have him do some looking around.

Good Luck,
john
