LotsaHP,

Does the SRT draw air from the front fascia in addition to the hood scoop for the motor? I'm wondering if that is so because if the SRT is drawing air from the fascia then DC must have determined that the fascia air pressures do indeed provide a good flow of outside cooler air for the motor which would support the VIPAIR functionality. Can someone with an SRT verify that the motor is being fed from the fascia and if so want percentage of air would you estimate versus the air scoop? Any aero experts have any observations on this? Thanks for any input

BINGO......Devildog...you hit the nail on the head.srt and comp coupe are drawing there air from the facia along w/pasive airflow through the scoop.you will also notice that most of the lemans vipers seal off there NACA duct to allow there flow through the facia only.If you look at the true ram air cars they are drawing there air through the facia.Old school on carburated cars were functionally better with "air scoops"drawing directly to the carburator, but this does not hold true w/fuel injected cars.By the way great pics and happy belated bday. And as far as pic9 goes,i now know what a devil dog looks like![]()
What's the expected price and date of availability on the plastic VIPAIR?
I do believe I want one.
No offense, but can I get mine plain (no logo)?
Thanks

?????? What's the answer??
OK I am new to the forum after 6 years on the corvette forum.....So I'll ask,,,,,what's a BUMP?
Still no objective performance tests I see. How come we can't seem to get some numbers from third parties?

Simple answer really, thats because if they post results the sales would go to 0 units. Might as well buy muffler bearings.
Russ, I am a skeptic as well. Saturday I watched an A vs B test gain 7 RWHP. The test was done with the hood closed and a large fan and 2 a/c units directing cool (not cold) air toward the front of the car. I would not call it totally controlled but it did show an improvement. One of outr other members said he did the same test at the same dyno a while back and gained 10 RWHP. So even though I am a skeptic I am reasonably convinced that it does provide some improvement.
the benefits of the VIPAIR are a no brainer!
Now WHERE have I heard that before! LOL
