Okay...I went up against a cobra today...and broke even. Not good enough for me. I don't think I shift properly and drive the Viper to it's potential. Is there someone in the Austin area that can teach me how to kick ass in the Viper???

buy a gen II or send to DLM for some upgrading. A cobra will give your car a run for it's money if it's running even on a stock pulley..the person might have had a smaller pully on his car..

Ryan, get the high flow cats and **** done.

Also, do the filters, tubes and 1.7 rockers. If I remember, I think the Gen 1s get a big kick from the 1.7s (i think stock was 1.5??)

Not sure, but the Gen 1 guys can definitely guide you on economically power adders.

Thanks guys...I feel I could have beat him if I had been able to shift quicker... I admit...I have only had the car a few months and learned to drive stick on this car (very easy to my surprise...never stalled it). So I think I will start small with Phil's advice and do the exhaust work and then maybe have someone show me how to really drive into this thing ;) Anyone recomend a place around Austin to bore out those cats?
