Need wheels & tires for Gingerman 05/20

Help! I have a 2002 GTS Final Edition that I'll be running @ Gingerman this Friday. I wonder if anyone knows of used wheels/tires for sale in the Novi (Detroit), MI area? I've seen a few ads in the classifieds here on the forum, but out of state is a bit scary and I'm unsure if I will receive them when I leave Thursday. I would be fine with stock or inexpensive wheels that could be torn up, I just don't want to take my stock Michelins - looking for the least expensive option.

Any suggestions or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

We'll be there on 5/20 as well. I don't think you need different wheels or tires for 1 track day. I have several track days on the OEM factory wheels---no problem. The Pilot Sports hold up pretty well too. IMO one or two track days a year certainly doesn't warrant the expense for either wheels or tires.

Steve, thanks for the advice. I took my z06 to Waterford Hills and Gingerman last summer. After 1 day @ Gingerman, the tires were pretty feathered... Maybe I'll be a slightly better driver this time and not cause so much damage. I guess I'll give it a shot w/ the OEMs.

John, I sent your request to the MCVO board, they have a lot of connections and might find a set. Another option is that many people going will have extra tires/wheels and you might pick up a set there. Craig

John, A Michigan member has wheels and tires for sale. I know him, he's a good guy. I don't think you can go wrong here because you can sell them later when you have more time to get a dedicated racing set. Craig

One vehicle set of 2001 model year OEM Viper wheels & tires used less than 3000 miles.
Not abused and never raced!!!!
The tires are Michelin OEM!
Never driven in winter!
Note: R.F. wheel has a 'small' road rash spot in the outer rim area.
