New Battery and now I have no power

Pulled out old battery
let vehicle sit for 2 days
installed brand new yellow top optima.
Now doors are locked and I have no power throughout entire vehicle
Battery started my Tacoma so battery is good.
have only touched battery cables which are hooked up correctly and traced back with no loose
connections.
Maybe factory security system issue?

I wonder if it slipped into sleep mode ( hibernation mode). Have you tried the reset switch?

Use the key access lock on the door, then try to start it.

Those answers are in the owners manual...though the key lock may be problematic if it has not occasionally been used.

There are a couple of other possibilities as well.

My 2000 GTS has the key access in the glove box at the top of the box. This will do the trick.

this happened to me once when the battery died in my key fob and after replacement the engine wouldn’t start. I finally slow walked around the car with the key fob pressed and held down and the car horn sounded about five times (never heard that before) and all was good!

No, that first appeared in 2003...and is very handy.

As you do know, you do have an alarm reset switch in your car.

Hello,

I need your help. I just join the club, but I need your expertise!! I have a 2010 Viper, it has been store for a while and today when I try to start the car I got no power at all. Even when connecting another battery to the jump start poles. I have seen the post above and I have tried unlock the car with the key, I checked all fuses, but still not power at all. what else can I do besides changing the battery? Thank you

@migsot no power or not cranking ir cranking and not starting.

No power means no power like if there is no battery.

You need to more clean.

Migsot, Check the battery to see if it will take a charge. If it's been marked (when purchased) it will show the date. It might be very old. If you can't check it take it to Autozone or some place like that.
