I have a Valentine 1 that is a few years old. I looked up the upgrade cost on their website and it is going to cost $200. Has there really been that much improvement? Is the new POP mode really helpful and worth the money?

Thank You for your help

The only time I have gotten a ticket in the last 15 yrs... The V1 was on my floorboard :omg:

59 in a 45... I was passing on a steep hill... Really!

But I'm a good girl & never drive above the speed limit :eater:

Are you sure you need the upgrade. You can check on their site with your serial number. I thought it was only $95.

I checked mine a few months ago and an upgrade was available so I sent the V - 1 back with $200.00 and got the upgraded model. On various occasions I have been known to exceed the speed limit and if I'm doing that I want all the help I can get from a radar detector. I want the best! If it saves you once it has more than paid for itself! You've got the best car why not have the best radar detector to go along with it. This is not the place to pinch pennies. Pull the trigger, bite the bullet, you'll be glad you did.

Give Valentine a call with your serial #. They will tell you the upgrades.

I once sent mine in for an upgrade, and they sent me a totally new unit.
