Howdy All, First huge kudos to all you peeps for all the help and knowledge that just ooozes from this forum. I've been lurking here for a while and I'm just about ready to close the deal on a Final Edition '02 w/about 1200 miles.

The question I have is that the sticker shows that these were selling for 79k back in the day, did you guys really pay that price?? I know that some of these sat around for almost a year...so I'm guessing that maybe the dealers moved a bit on the price, but I was wondering if someone could chime in here. I know you guys get fiesty when people ask about specific prices to pay for specific cars so I'll stay away from that conversation.

Any help on this subject would be appreciated so I can figure out how much I need to offer this gent w/out ******* him off =) Ohhhh he's looking for 64k which seems to be the normal asking price for these bad boys. hehehe

TIA...

I paid $70k for mine in May of last year (04'). It was brand new and had 7 miles on it. It was sitting in the dealers showroom for about a couple of years and they really wanted to get rid of it. I was really happy with the price and am really happy with the car. :2tu: :headbang:

#216...from the looks of it, the car never left Illinois. Sold in Glenview to some chap in Wheeling, now it's at a broker/dealer in Naperville. Hope this helps...

Best of luck with your new purchase.Bought mine F/E#171 for 59.5K from a dealer in Buffalo, this past april, and it had 11k miles on it. I am a fairly young guy and have owned over 30 cars and I can ,without any doubt, tell you this the most fun you can have on four wheels!!!(driving i mean). BUY IT, YOU WILL LOVE THE CAR!

And don't forget to join the Illinois VCA. Lots of fun and great going to the meetings in Schaumberg and seeing about 30 Vipers. Owning one is life altering that is for sure.

$ 61,500 w/3800 miles mid '04. Had agreed to buy # 314 for $ 57,500 w/1700 miles 3rd quarter '04, but he backed out after I asked how much he owed on the car (ran a carfax and saw a lien) because he owed $ 58,000. It's a good time of the year to buy, so you should be able to get a FE for less than $ 60K, but if you don't want to wait for a deal then you may have to pay $ 62+. But if your like me, and see a car you like then it's a done deal.

Paid $68,500 back in Nov of 02. Additionally, I got $300 rebate from Dodge for recent college grad. It is good thing that a graduate degree qualified for this rebate. Funny thing was the rebate excluded a Dodge Minivan but not the Viper, go figure :smirk: It was a good time to buy since the new Viper was coming out and we were in the middle of a recession. Not too many people shopping for these cars. Good Luck :2tu:
