no traction lately in D/FW area

With it being only 50 degrees here in D/FW I can not get my tires to hook.

The tires are only 3 years old. Is it the weather or the tires?

It is the temp. You should try 30.

Based on what I read in other posts about tire age, 3 years is still ok. I seem to recall someone quoting Michelin that 5 years is the life of a tire. My tires have an '01 born-on date and they're nasty in hot weather, but at 50 degrees (our fall cruise was during temps in this range), traction is even worse. So, I say weather.

Up your tire's air pressure.

Make it 34 pounds cold, that should help.

50 degrees does not seem to be that bad for horrible traction. I drove the car yesterday in about those temps and was fine. Just got to let the tires warm up first.

OK, I put the crack pipe down. I went and read the DOT codes on the tires. They are 7 years old on the front and 5 years old on the back.

Where is the best place to buy Kumho's v700 for my 18 inch wheels?
