Went out today and had a nice drive---came back and notice something strange--MY GAS PEDAL FELL OFF!!! WHAT??? The cheap plastic pedal came off the mount...Now I see a pin but there is no saftey cap or cotter pin...how is the pin held in place so it does not happen again??

I just had some work done to the interior--new stereo...Sat., Nav, more power.....do not think they would need to remove the pedal...So my question is how is the pin secured in place--Can someone with working pedal look to see if there is a cotter or end cap??

Thanks

All I know is it is the same assembly as used in the Minivans...mine broke once upon a time and that's when I discovered it is the same piece as the MV.

Happened to Agentf1 a month ago. Do a search. He is in the hospital, so dont expect an answer personally from him. You should find something. It was not as easy as it looks, if I recall.

Not all that uncommon for these to fall off.

A pin usually holds them on, but if it works loose, the pedal can come off.

Look around. Will probably find the black pin in your footwell.

Crimp the pin a bit before reinstalling.
