Hello, who sells painted hood pads?

Yes, it's a fun DIY project and will give you something to do with your car over the cold, snowy winter months. Lots of threads on how-to's and pics of finished projects around here if you search.

there's also a gal (Paula H) that does custom airbrush hoodliners if you want to go that route. she has stock vette and viper hoodliners and paints the logo and adds anything extra you want, like if you have a hobby or want a theme, a name, whatever.

Well after a month of working on this project I finally finished painting my hood pad for my 97 RT/10 B/W. A few tips for those thinking of doing this. You dont need to get matching viper blue paint for it to be a match, I used Krylon fusion color 2329 Patriotic blue/safety blue and Rustoleum flat black and glossy white paint. Take your time on the taping to get it right. Make sure you protect the area around the pad from overspray, I learned the hard way on the black coat. I also used a automotive spray can clear top coat. If you use this use alot, but make sure before you pull the tape off you use a razer blade and make a cut where the tape meets the pad or else the tape will peel the clear coat off.

Explaining Viper things to you
That does look sharp. But B/W against that red engine...

While this thread is active again, the one I did some time back now continues to look Day 1 fresh even after getting cooked in the :tx: heat many times. Just use a good quality paint and all is well.

Nice job!

It's probably just the angle, but it looks like your power steering cap is off on the last pic.
