Short answer: Yes. Longer answer, not really. While your power will be virtually identical (ACR has same mods as factory original), the ACR has MUCH, much more that makes it a real treat to run on the circuit. The suspension is different (shocks), as are the better wheels. While it should be a photo finish in the quarter mile, you will see brake lights fading in the distance on the track - until you get lapped...

A 96 GTS and the 97RT were the first production Vipers with the GENII engine. They would have 10-18 more hp with K&N filters and smooth tubes. The ACR has other performance items like,different springs, and adj shocks that will allow for chassis performance enhancement or tuning.
