Has there been a cookbook on changing the power steering fluid? Seems like after a few years, that needs to be changed before it boils over at the track. Any easy lessons out there?

I change mine after every track event. Just use a turkey baster and **** it out. There are some good hi temp fluids and I use the one that Dodge sells. It is cool weather coolant. Has much higher boiling point then regular fluid.

If your doing track events and you have never changed your powersteering fluid all i can say is you must have the luck of the irish. You should change your fluilds after every track event. If not your fluids will break down, your power steering hoses will deteriorate and possible fail as will the power steering pump. Change those fluids before you go out again.

You might also want to consider an improved power steering cooler from Sean Roe. It's not much at all, and is of much higher quality that the stock cooler. Takes about 15 minutes to install. See it here: Roe Racing
