The guy bought my car yesterday and today he calls form the road on his way back home to tell me there is smoke coming out the hood and oil down the side of the car. He says a hose under the air box has blown a hole in it. I figure it is power steering hose. I know this has been a common problem on Vipers from my many hours of research on here, this is why I kept a constant watch on my Power Steering fluid levels. But is it common for the hose to actually blow out? From my research it looks like the top fitting usually starts leaking first then gets worst, but my car has never had any leaks from anything.
Anyway how can this guy get home now? He is like 600 miles from home right now and needs to get back asap. I dont know what to tell him it is Sunday and he is in Nashville. I figure his best bet is stay over in Nashville call the wizard tomorrow and the local Dodge dealers to find a hose local or get the wizard to over night a hose to him. Any one have any suggestions at all like a Viper tech in the Nashville area?
