How do you program a new remote on an 01 GTS? The previous owner of my car has it, but is being an ass and won't send it to me after he said he would. I have one working remote, I just want to have a backup remote & key just in case. Thanks.

do a search or use the FAQ's i believe there is the procedure there.

I bought a remote on ebay and had the dealer program it, but i wont do it again after i saw the "how to" on this site pretty easy and can save you $70 IN DEALER "cost"

I did mine a while back and I believed you can use the same for you.

Works on through 2002.

You ground terminal 1 by stuffing a bare copper wire into the terminal (T1 only) and clipping the other end to any structural piece of metal in the car.

When I did mine I print a copy of the "how to thread" and read it again while in the car. Just make sure you have a good ground or else nothing will work. I just ground right where you removed the screws on the knee bolster. Give your self 2-3 foot long 18-22 gauge wire so that you'll have a good reach on the EEM. Then just follow the instructions and you'll find out that it is really easy. Good luck.
