Proper ECU Reset Procedure

I am installing my new Mopar ECU and want to be sure it is installed correctly. I know where it is located and how to swap cables associated. But should I disconnect positive and negative on the battery and then how/when do I set wide open throttle idle etc? I seem to be reading a variety of opinions with no true procedure...

The DEALER has to do this you cannot the first time it is done... All the PCM's come with detailed instructions that have to be followed to the letter to do it right.
