Put a set of \'97 GTS wheels on the \'95 today...one problem

In my opinion, it looks 100% better than the stock Gen 1 wheels. However, after standing back and looking at it, it needs lowered BAD! My last three Corvettes were very easy to lower. I don't suppose the Vipers have a stock setup that allows for lowering do they? Is it even possible to lower a Viper? I'm not looking for a big drop, maybe an inch or an inch and a half. If someone could direct me where I could find a lowering kit or...whatever, I'd appreciate it.

Search for Viper Lowering Springs on yahoo or google. Eibach makes a set that looks like it should do the job.

I have the same wheels on my 94.
I think it looks ok. Why don't you give it a month or so to grow on you a little.

I actually bought my Eibach springs off of ebay. You just have tell them which kit you want, and specify your year of Viper. They were actually cheaper after shipping than any of the dealers here.

They are however a pain in the a$$ to get on. Don't let anyone tell you they aren't. It does help some if you take the coil overs down to a tire shop to get them to compress and swap the springs, but I spent about 8 hours doing it all myself with a simple spring compressor tool set.

Nathan, I agree the 97 wheels look great on the Gen I's. I would also agree that lowering it really enhances the look.
I have been wanting to lower mine every since I saw Lauri (REDENUFF93) car with the Eibach springs on it. It really looks killer and lowers the car about 1". I was told that when you do the springs to make sure you get the car aligned again as well.

I hope Lauri does not mind, but here are a few awesome pics of his car with the same rims and the Eibach springs to give you an idea of the look.
