The main purpose of increasing the differential ratio is to increase the engine rpm for a given speed to make higher levels of torque more readily available.

The Viper's torque curve is quite flat and begins fairly low in the rpm bandwidth meaning your benefit would be marginal. On the other hand, wheelspin could be harder to control and you may even lose time due to this.

Pros:
- Increased acceleration.
- Lesser downshifting.

Cons:
- Increased upshifting.
- Increased wheel spin.
- Reduced engine life.
- Increased cabin sound.
- Increased fuel consumption.
- Lower top speed.

IMHO, the stock ratio is good given that you have substantial mods.

You might want to look at changing individual gear rations. Does anybody make mods for them?
