agree w/ mustangdude, mustang has got to be hands-down the most economical bang-for-buck easily modded sports car out there. ****** me off that headers for viper run well over $1,000 or even $2,000 while headers for stang can be had for fraction, in addition to mostly all other mods. i know, i know, limited production car, yada yada yada yada...

1968 Mustang coupe 289 auto. Purchased when I was 15. Put in a cam, lifters, headers, intake carb, ect. I wanted a big blcok Chevelle, I was denied by my father, to bad would have been worth more money. I just sold it a year ago.

First car that was really mine, bought by me, was a 1951 MGTD. I think I paid about $200 for it in 1965.
It had a blown engine, and I don't mean forced induction.

I rebuilt the engine. That was the first engine I ever rebuilt.
The starter was bad and I couldn't afford to buy one.
I used the crank.

First car: 1960 Austin Healey Bug-eyed Sprite.

948cc four ****** ragtop (top completely removable) The definition of "Fun"

Paid $300 for it in 1977. Carried it home in boxes on a borrowed snowmobile trailer (lived in Northern WI), spent the next year fully restoring it.

First several cars were all RX-7's I was poor then and a student. Got out of school, landed my dream job and now I have this at age 23. If a Viper is what you want work for it and get it, don't wait.
