Race Series - ACR-X vs. Porsche Cup Cars

Just a wild question guys and gals... Is there any race series out there that classifies the cars by fuel consumption vs. engine displacement? I think the best and most equitable way to classify cars is by how much fuel they burn per mile/lap/race, etc. What are the gas consumption figures of the ACR-X vs. a Cup car in a race?
