Radio Problems

My radio in my 2008 is terrible. The strong radio stations fade in and out like something is loose. My dealer has checked it and says nothing is wrong. My $ 12,000 Smart car gets better reception! Any ideas? Where is the antennae anyway? It is supposed to be in the windshield, but I do not see it.

The Antenna is on the glass... look very low near the passenger side tweeter and you can usually see a wire leading to a snap (similar to the snap on top of a 9v battery) that allows the antenna amp to connect to the windshield line.

It sounds a bit like either the amp is disconnected from the window, or the antenna amp isn't powering up.
