Radio static question

Every once in awhile I'll get alot of static on my favorite FM channels. One day 3 of my presets were static. These are my normal every day stations. Then later that day they worked fine. Nothing was changed, though the top was down in both situations.

Anyone else ever have a problem. Also anyone know where the antenna is located.

I am having FM problems and it seems that it is the radar detector that is causing it! I believe the antena runs along the top of the windshield. When I turn off the detector the problem stops. I am trying moving it and see if it improves.

Thanks, next time im in it and its got alot of static, Im going to try and turn of valentine and see if problem goes away.
