Rear end alignment - New rear end

If i picked up an extra rear end assembly with a different gear set, would I need to re-align the rear tires everytime I switched? Or could this be a simple switch?

Also, are all years interchangeable?

no, the diff is completely independent of the suspension

All of the gen 2 units will interchange. You cannot put a gen 3 (2003+) into anything but a gen 3.

Gen 2 units have a notch in the top that earlier gen 1 units do not have. to use an early gen 1 unit in a gen 2 would require removal of some metal from the gen 1 unit.

stay with a gen 2 super 44 if you want an oem unit

Also, are all years interchangeable?
