Rear Gearing Chart

Hey everybody!!!

There's a chart available showing the top speed in each gear, with optional rear gearing (3.07, 3.33, 3.45, 3.55, etc)!Does anyone have a copy of this chart or a link to it!

I did a search and can't seem to find it........

Silversnake:

the chart is nice, but, does not take into account the wheel size. The Chuckware site referenced above is handsdown the most versatile.

Good point. I guess I shoulda made the following disclaimer:

These numbers are based upon you having retained your stock size wheels.

You can do it the old fashioned way and stave off Alzheimer's..


(RPM x Tire diameter) divided by (overall gear ratio x 336) = your MPH


(GR means overall gear ratio which is your trans gear times rear axle ratio)


MPH = (rpm x td) div by (gr x 336)


GR = (rpm x td) div by (mph x 336)


RPM = (mph x gr x 336) div by td


TD = (mph x 336 x gr) div by rpm
