Red Striped Cowl - Pics

For those interested in a painted cowl with strips. It took about 15 minutes to add the decal material to the Autoform cowl purchsed from JonB. The installation was straightforward, the cowl was perfect.

As discussed previously the only time consuming element was removing the oem weather strip. The oem weather strip comes right off, however, the glue I used needed to set up overnight.

i think it should just come with a new weatherstrip attached....
but it does look great!
maybe worth the effort.. next years mod list!!

Verify your source info - The air volume that can be released between the window and the cowl is minor when juxtaposed to the heat being evacuated thru the cowl vents. I know we don't try to ride in the rain, however, my fear is if caught in the rain (or washing), the water would work its way underneath the windshield and find its way into the cabin, that was my motivation to reinstall the seal.

It doesn't matter who is right, the product looks good and does vent a lot of heat out of the engine compartment.
