Can those Viper owners that have removed the CATS comment on the following please.
I am considering removing the CATS on my 2002 GTS to reduce sidesill heat, but have heard conflicting stories regarding what the O2 SIMS do. <ul type="square">[*]I have heard that they may interfere with all check engine light conditions, thus masking potential real engine problems.[*] Can you confirm or deny this please? Hi, no cats here when i bought my exhaust system from roe racing i ordered the Sims so i eliminate the CH light, i decided to install the sims when the CH light shows up to make sure it did eliminate the CH, well after hundreds of miles it didn’t show up ? i cant confirm or deny it  but so far i learned that not all vipers react the same when it comes to mods some shows some don’t and so on, hope this helps :)

P.S. if you are going to run catless you should give the B&amp;B catless setup a serious look i bought them from Roe Racing and the quality is awesome and they are loud :D here is some pic's:

No cats here, with o2 sims.

All the sims do is prevent check engine light for no cats, all the other check engine light things work. Just had one turn of for EGR so I know it works.

I totally agree with MbnViper as far as the B&amp;B go. I've been to several Viper gatherings and most comment on how awesome my car sounds! I have to agree, I lucked out buying the B&amp;B (wanted Corsa) and the quality is second to none.
Check engine light is easy to deal with, get an OBD II code reader. It's not a bad thing to have in the tool box anyway.

The only problem you can mask is the failure of your o2 sims. Which you should replace every so often anyways.
