I have been thinking of getting a nitrous system for my GTS but I have been wondering how the 6200 RPM rev limiter would effect the engine. If the car hit the limiter using a wet shot (gasoline) say around 150 to 200 HP, wouldn't the car lean dangerously out? I thought that the additional gasoline that was sprayed into the engine with the nitrous was not enough to keep the car from running too lean, if the main fuel supply (injectors) was turned off. I have only hit the rev limiter by accident 3 times but I can only imagine hitting it with the nitrous on then hearing a big BOOM, oh no! any thoughts?

For similar reasons, I fitted my car with an RPM window switch for the NOS system. It only allows NOS to flow between 3,000 and 5,200 RPM. MSD can supplied a modified version of one of their window switches for my system; I don't know of any off-the-shelf switch which will work with our 10-cyl engines.

I agree with Ben.
About 2 years ago, I worked with MSD and Autometer to come up with a Window switch that will work on a V-10/Viper. After some testing, they were able to calibrate it for 2.5 cycles.

Now you can set the 'on' and 'off' rpms for anything including NOS using the switch.
It's a must
