anyone got a pic of his 3" shifter shaft with a OE gen2 knob ? (this sounds a bit rude)

you may be, but I've dual nationality, when it suits me ! like when the cricket is on, and sometimes the rugby ..

I have a pic on floppy of a '02 that I just delivered with the exact set up that you are interested in. Here is the problem, my desk top is down and I am using my laptop and it doesn't have a floppy drive to load the disc. I can send it to you on monday if you shoot me your e-mail address. I will most likely see Rich this week, would you like me to tell him to just send you one? They are very cheap...$ 20 bucks or so.

I did this (sorry no pic) but basically the bottom of the golf ball knob touches the top of the leather boot with this setup and is so much more comfortable for my driving position

Not Rich's parts, but the same thing. This is on my track car. The aluminum shaft get's HOT during a 20 minute track session because there is no longer a rubber isolator on the shaft. Not a problem with gloves on (or if you normally don't touch your fingers to the shaft), and not a problem tooling around town. Just an FYI....
