Roe O2 Simulators

Just got my '96 GTS and am planning on cutting of the cats. I am looking at the Roe O2 Simulators, but they say they are for '98-'02. Will these still work for my gts in keeping the check engine light off and not running too rich?

you won't get a check engine light with the '96 gts.
