What a great showing (for the Vipers anyway). We had between 30-40 show up. The weather was great, in the mid 80's (sorry for you easterners). We were running a little late to get to the meeting point from SoCal to San Diego but we did not fret, a little more gas pedal and the Viper always gets you there on time (even 15 minutes early, oops a little too much pedal maybe!)

We did not exceed the speed limit on this nice straight wide open stretch, honestly

Nice pictures. It was fun to see so many Vipers attend. I'd say that the VCA had the largest showing of any club there.

It was a great day! Why was my SRT the only one there? I got to test the brakes when an old lady turned in front of me - Those are great brakes!

Boy I wish DC would make a coupe, but the convertible sure was nice on such a
nice day!

Great weekend once again at the Coronado races. The Viper Club had a Huge showing compared to other clubs. The line stretched on for a long ways. Would have been even longer if Hawker had showed up with his SRT-10, Able had stayed in line and Ron hadn’t brought his new Lambo M. (What a great looking car!)

Where’s the pic of the FE with the Roe blower and Belanger Headers?

These racers often have several cars in their trailers!

This has been a “Chrysler Dodge” event since the beginning. Vipers used to do the parade laps at lunch. Yesterday it was a Z/06?

I think DC should use it’s sponsorship pull and have the VRL as one of the run groups.

It would give a great contrast of yesterdays racers to the modern racers.

It would give great visibility to the Comp Coupe and Viper Race cars to a captive group of people, some of which might add a Viper to their race car stable.

It would give DC great visibility to the thousands of spectators (there were more people here than at the World Challenge Races or the ALMS when O.B. won the title in Vegas).

Skip would have his largest audience and greatest exposure of any VRL event.

btw- the cones on the bridge were put there FOR the Vipers to have fun with.

Great pictures, both of you!! I see mine in some. I'm laughing at the idea of someone trying to look at this on a dial-up modem. You will sell a lot of broadband with pictures like that.

Just a bunch of vintage cars? I'll take any chance I get to see Ferrari 250 Testarossas, a Maserati T-61 Birdcage, Jaguar D-Type, original Shelby Cobras and GT-350R's, 300SL Gullwing.

Don't forget Jim Click, of Tuttle-Click dealerships, stomping on his original GT40! That was fun.
