I thought I heard a loud roar last night...guess Santa drives a nodded Viper!:D

Okay, so maybe not Santa...but my RT got a pair of Roe Hi-Flow metal substrate cats. :(

Fun Christmas morning, my kids are old enough to understand but still young enough to believe there is a Santa (4 & 6)!

Hope everyone (who celebrates) had a great Christmas morning!

:santa3:

Had 15 piece Tama Superstar kit, but for family peace -did family room over -its now down to 7 pieces! :) All in candy apple red finish,Neil Peart 1982 color. Also have '59 Slingerland Radio King (krupa) single ply in red flake, two matching Tama Supe snares (both candy apple red, pretty rare) and my favorite -Rogers Dynasonic - low serial number, mint all original with original snare frame.

When it was 15 pieces:

My '59 Radio King:

Can take pics of the other snares if you're interested. Have the Rogers setup with my kit now, just love the sound!

Can only practice when nobody is home!

Love the drums! And, yes, I do love red drums!!

You definitely have some ace hardware. I'm a red fan too, mine are very ordinary though. Rock on!

Nice! Is that a 16" trash on right side of your kit? Like them, but ended up taking alot of my cymbals and putting them in the closet along with some of the other pieces.

Also, on the left side, looks like one of the older two-tone Slingerland snares...can't remember the name, think it was Duco or something like that...but have the catalogs somewhere.

I originally was going to get a DW kit, maybe 4-5 pieces plus a snare, but it was quite alot of money at the time. By accident, I started picking up Superstar pieces and then found a guy selling off his big kit. That's how it started and that was years ago!

Kinda got caught up! :D

Hope you enjoyed your holiday!

Yes, seldom used but once in a while it comes in handy. I tend to overfill and overuse cymbals....I play a set of AC/DC once in a while just to calm down!

Happy New Year
