Aaron,
Did you by chance disconnect the sensor plug from the airbox and have the key on? Sometimes folks will take the airbox off to change filters or to clean it good and forget to install the sensor plug, then turn on the ignition. This will set a code on your viper. You can get rid of the light by disconnecting the battery wires at the red terminal just behined and to the left of the brake booster. Leave it disconnected for 5 minutes minimum.
To run a code check here is the sequence of key strokes.
key ON....Key OFF....Key ON.....Key OFF....Key ON(leave on now) and note flashes of check engine light.
NOTE: This is only good for 97' and older vipers.
