I was just curious if it is possible to get a book or something that lists everything that has to be done to a Viper to service it with at each 5000 mile interval or whatever it is. I remember when we bought our camry we got a book with it that listed everything that is done at every service! I don't like taking my car to the Dodge dealership when my brother is friends with a mechanic that loves my car and has been working on cars for 30 years. He can do all the work for me and I don't mind paying him the same rate dodge charges me even though he doesn't ask for that much! Anyways I don't have enough miles on the car to get servicing done but I wanted to find out in advance. I will probably change the oil again after putting it away for the winter in a week or two. Sitting at 3200 kms (2k miles) right now and have no time to drive it so I might just put some storage insurnace on it in the next day or two! Thanks in advance for any info on this...

edit: also how often do you guys change your spark plugs? I was reading over on the gen 2 forum every year no matter how much they drive em

FYI...many of the service intervals are stated as mileage and/or time...which ever comes first. I personally tend to over service our Vipers to a small degree, mostly based on time.

From my post in this section 9/15/05:

"One obtains the service manuals from "Tech Authority" division of Chrysler.

Here's the website:

https://techauthority.gltghosting.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/CustomerHome?storeId=10051&langId=-1&catalogId=10051

And, here's the phone number: 1-800-890-4038 "

I usually do the plugs/wires about every 3-4 years or 10,000 miles which ever comes first.

Ricky, there is a GTA mechanic who has his own shop and is a Viper owner and services a number of Vipers/Prowlers, etc. Great service, ultimate care! Let me know if you want his name and number
