Will the MGW shorty shifter knob fit on the B&M short throw shifter (45055)?

I guess a better way of wording the question would be: Will the MGW Shorty Shift knob (which I own) fit on an aftermarket short throw shifter assembly (i.e. B&M, Hurst/Mopar, etc...)?

FWIW...my MGW First strike fits on my (aftermarket)Hurst mopar shifter
