Any word on the price?

I asked, he said not to worry about it.

Translation: He feels bad that he’s been a flake and he’ll sell them and make no profit.
Problem: He’s got no incentive to make anymore if it’s not profitable.

I hope they’re way under $100. I gave him 20 key blanks.

I finally got some keys from this Jeweler. The guys been jerking me around for 5 months, and he only made 9 of the 20 keys I initially ask him for. 4 Fangs and 5 Sneaky Pete’s. I’ve already contacted the people asked for them first and sent most of them out this morning.
The Jeweler had finally given me a price of $45ea, two months ago, but said he was not going to charge me at all for this batch because he screwed around so long. So I only asked $15 for these to cover any packing and shipping on my part, and I hope everyone loves theirs. I’m not going to be calling this guy back about the rest of them, if he makes them great, if not. Oh well. That’s how pissed he’s gotten me.

But here the funny thing. There’s almost two oz of silver in each key and silver is at about $11 an oz.

Those who have PM’d me are next on the list, should anymore materialize.

I was the 5th one to reply and i didn't get a PM :(

I was the 9th person to reply :p

Sorry guys, but I started receiving many PM's from the get-go, and this batch was so small they were gone before I got them. The next round should be $65 ea so the jeweler can make some money, but we'll have to see if he really does make some more.

Just so you guys know, I’m not in the jewelry or Viper key business. I just thought that VERY plastic looking key that come with my beautiful GTS, did not go. I set out to find a jeweler that could make a mold of my spare key and cast it in Sterling Silver. I love it, and so I was just trying to make it worth the jewelers time by helping him sell some more. He treats his business more like a hobby than a needed source of income so it’s kind of back firing. But I just answered about 20 PM’s from today and I think anybody in the Viper business, be it Dealers or Tuners, should make these themselves to sell or just give away for a special bonus for being their customers. IMO

Heya Andrew,

Did your jeweler ever make any more of the sterling silver keys? If not, will he? I'll pay $100 per key, and I need 2, if he needs incentive.

Thanks!

How did I miss that key? Maybe an extra set for a Gen 1 and 2 (same key)?

any info would be greatly appreciated.

This thread is 3 years old....

Yep, thread is 3 years old, but Andrew still posts here and he may very well still be in touch with the jeweler. I tried to get in on that deal 3 years back, and missed out.

But I still want one of those damn keys :D

I'd be in for a Gen II key also. :2tu:

Looks like maybe another run could be sold if the jeweler is interested.
